Specialist Coatings
Epoxy / Acrylic-Pu
• Wide range of colours
• Clear top coats
• Matt to High gloss appearance
• Easy to apply -Good coverage
• Normally selectively applied over hard anodising /plating
• Low cure temperatures, especially on 2 packs
• Epoxy offers good adhesion, toughness, chemical resistance, corrosion resistance.
• Acrylic / Polyurethane blends offer very good UV stability
• Salt spray - unbroken films 1000hr @50um, on Hard Anodising or zinc plating in excess of 1000hrs
• Coating thickness Primer 15-25um, Colour coat 20-30um (red yellows + 10um) lacquers 15-30um
RFI and EMC Shielding
Manufacturers of electronic products, must insure their product comply with national and international regulations covering EMC shielding. For more than 30 years conductive coatings have seen successful service in the shielding industry, in many applications from mobile phones to gas meters. Conductive coatings lend themselves to design requirements and is often a quick and inexpensive solution to an EC conformance problem. Electromagnetic interference is of major concern for manufacturers of electronic / electrical products particularly in communication, information technology, transportation, medical and safety applications.
Dry Film Lubricants
In harsh environments, such as vacuum and extreme pressure situations, conventional lubricants, i.e. oil or grease are not always suitable.
Friction properties, wear rates, noise dampening and galling can be significantly improved with Dry Film Lubricant coatings.

Sulphuric Acid Anodising
Sulphuric acid anodising of aluminium is an electrolytic process which forms an aluminium oxide layer.
This is a non electrical conducting layer and, therefore, parts may require masking if contact for earthing, etc. is required.
It is also possible to form a hard anodised deposit by increasing the current at which the anodising is carried out. Both types can be dyed with various colours. Black is offered as standard.
